Water Cooled Vibration Test Systems (IMV K-Series)

The K-series provides maximum performance in a range of sizes from 30kN all the way to 350kN providing high performance and load support for large and complex assemblies. Being water cooled these shakers are quiet, with the fan noise associated with shake-table testing all but eliminated.

For the automotive market Lithium ion battery packs, EV drive trains, and complete assemblies are testable. For aerospace entire satellites can be tested, or large sections of rockets and propulsion systems, including propeller and motor combinations.

The K-series can be configured with huge head expanders and slip tables, and can be customised to suit your testing needs. Suitable also for complete network racks, defence applications, large appliances and heavy assembly testing. The armature is supported by IMV’s Parallel Support Guide System (PSG).

The PSG significantly improves both durability, reliability of the system resulting in a higher quality of vibration and it’s design provides adequate stiffness and rigidity when compared to a roller support system. This is achieved by an alternative alignment of gears that have a unique curve called an involute curve.

Conduct random testing using traditional methods, or go further using Kurtosis control to increase “peakiness”. Random-on-Random and Sine-on-Random also available.

Commonly required in aerospace testing these waveforms are optionally supported with software licensing.

The A-Series amplifiers incorporate a range of safety features, making them compliant for world-wide deployment.

Lower power consumption

In comparison with the same class of conventional systems (i,J-series), the A-series achieves lower power consumption. With an automatic energy-saving function increased energy saving is achieved across all force ranges.

Increased Excitation Force

When compared to previous iterations the A-Series increases force relative to power input, system mass, and system size giving you more force in a more efficient package.
