Electrodynamic Shaker Systems (IMV A-Series)

The A-series is at the cutting edge of shaker design and includes features patented by IMV that increase system durability, decrease maintenance costs and increase user satisfaction. Systems like the innovative Parallel Support Guide (PSG) that provide high axial stiffness to prevent wear and tear. Air cooled and simple to install the systems will bring decades of end-use.

By developing a power amplifier that uses a new next generation Silicon Carbide power module, IMV has achieved extremely low noise and high efficiency. All A-series models are equipped with this new power module as standard.

With standard displacement running from 64 to 76.2mm (size dependent) there’s a shaker for every need.

IMV introduced the Ecology system with the A-Series as an optional upgrade. This system allows for an extreme reduction in power use, and therefore emissions, by intelligently controlling the vibration generator power level, blower fan, and amplifier outputs so no power is wasted. This upgrade achieves an energy saving of up to 70% over traditional shaker systems.

 
 
 

Feature Summary

K2+ Controller

The K2+ Controller includes further enhancements to control functionality, stability and accuracy - ensuring your tests are always on form.

Random Vibration

Conduct random testing using traditional methods, or go further using Kurtosis control to increase “peakiness” - increasing wear and tear and more closely replicating real world vibration.

Sine Vibration

Conduct swept sine tests using a range of control methods. Conduct resonance searches and amplitude dwells automatically using user-tuned parameters.

Classical Shock

Classical shock waveform (Half-sine, Haversine, Saw-tooth, Triangle, Trapezoid), Sine beat waveform, Measured waveform plus more.

Sine Burst

Sine burst, sine beat and more - aerospace often requires the application of these waves to simulate pressure waves through the structure at lift off.

International Safety Standard Compliant

The A-Series incorporates a range of safety features, making it compliant for world-wide deployment.

Lower power consumption

In comparison with the same class of conventional systems (i,J-series), the A-series achieves lower power consumption. With an automatic energy-saving function increased energy saving is achieved across all force ranges.

Increased Excitation Force

When compared to previous iterations the A-Series increases force relative to power input, system mass, and system size giving you more force in a more efficient package.

Next generation power modules deliver best-in-class noise reductions, increased efficiency and higher output power.
